Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, it comes with 4 voltage sensing leads. 3 Current sensing coils, that can measure up to 600A, and a USB power supply and cable. If you want to measure higher currents, then you have to buy larger Rogowski coils, also available here.

According to the manual only 7 hours, but in our experience the batteries last up to 48 hours (Rechargeable 2500 mAh Duracell). When logging longer periods of time it is recommended to use a USB power supply and connect it to the USB C power supply port on the meter. Alternatively one could also use a large USB power bank, just make sure it is large enough to last the duration you want to log for. A 10 0000 mAh Power bank will last 3 days in our experience.

No, the meter needs to have power supplied to it’s USB C port, either by a USB power supply or a USB Powerbank. If no USB power is connected, then it will stop working as soon as its internal batteries are flat, after about 72 hours.

  1. Try right-clicking on the pivot table and selecting “Refresh Data”, like this.
  2. On the date drop-down boxes select the date you want to display the data for, like this.

The amount of space required for one day’s logging at 1-minute intervals is 1 kB. So, on a 4 GB SD card, one can log for more than 8 years.

At ten-second intervals, it will be, six times more data, that will work out to about 4.5 MB per day. So, one will be able to log for about 1.3 years on a 4GB SD card.

If you are using CTs then use the ratio specified on the CT, however, if you are using Rogowski coils then there is no ratio to be set. You can set the option to use CTs or the Rogowski coils under “Wire settings” in the menu, then “iCon” (Current Connection). So use “CTCon” for CTs and “RCoilCon” for Rogowski coils.

The maximum size that can be used with the meter is 32 GB, please ensure the SD card size is 32 GB or smaller. Also, the SD card must be formatted with the FAT 32 file system. Please format the SD card on your computer with the FAT 32 File system.

The current value may not be displayed if the duration that the current flows, is below 1 second. The current is still measured and taken into account for the energy consumption. So if the current flows for very short periods of time, then it will not be recorded. The overall energy usage will still be recorded accurately

Another reason is if the 3000A coil is used, and the current flow is less than 3A, then it can not be measured.

It seems that there might be an error in the wiring configuration. Please confirm if it is set to 3-phase 4-wire (3PH4W).
