Add 10 more circuits to your ecoMain

The enecess E2402 ecoSub is the expansion module for the enecess E2401 ecoMain energy monitor. Each ecoSub adds 10 branch-circuit channels, so a single ecoMain grows from 10 to 20, 30 or 40 monitored circuits as the installation demands.

It clips onto the DIN rail beside ecoMain and connects with one ecoBus cable. Voltage reference, data and power all come from ecoMain, so there is no separate voltage wiring per module. The new channels appear in the enecess app, over Modbus TCP and in Home Assistant alongside the existing ones.

Note: ecoSub is not a stand-alone meter. It requires an enecess ecoMain (E2401) main unit.

No. ecoSub is an expansion module and takes its power, voltage reference and communication from an enecess ecoMain (E2401) main unit.

Up to three ecoSub modules per ecoMain. Together with the 10 branch channels on ecoMain, that gives up to 40 monitored branch circuits. For larger sites, several ecoMain systems can be managed in one enecess account.

Yes. That is what it is designed for. Mount ecoSub on the DIN rail, connect it to ecoMain with the ecoBus cable, clip on the sensors and assign the new channels to their circuits and phases in the enecess app.

ecoSub uses the same 30 A ecoSensors as the ecoMain branch channels. Five are included; additional sensors and extension cables are available for the remaining channels and for distant measuring points.

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician with the power disconnected. Check that each sensor is assigned to the correct phase and direction before commissioning.

Meter data analysis, visualisation and reporting

We have created an Excel template that can analyse the data and visualise it with graphs. It has the following features and graphs.

  • Maximum power per minute, hour and day
  • Energy usage per minute, hour and day
  • Maximum voltage per minute, hour and day
  • Limit data displayed to a specific day or hour
  • Supports three-phase and single-phase setups

This template and support with importing the data and using the template are included free of charge when purchasing this meter.

The template is very easy to use even for users that is not that familiar with Excel. We have also created step by step instructions document and video.
