Overview
Every measuring instrument drifts over time — and for energy loggers and power analysers used in load profiling, energy audits and savings verification, that drift lands directly in the numbers your reports are built on. Regular recalibration keeps your measurement chain documented and your results defensible.
With the AmpX Calibration Service, your instrument is calibrated in the calibration laboratory of TÜV Thüringen in Germany, accredited by the German accreditation body Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) under registration number D-K-16047-01-00. AmpX manages the entire process for you: inspection on arrival, logistics to and from the laboratory, and return of your instrument together with its calibration certificate. One order, one point of contact, one fixed price — return shipping included.
The service covers the instruments we sell — including the Meatrol Mi550, ME440, ME435 and ME537 — as well as comparable energy loggers and power analysers from other manufacturers on request.
What is included
- Calibration in a DAkkS-accredited laboratory — performed by TÜV Thüringen (D-K-16047-01-00), so the traceability behind your certificate is checkable, not claimed.
- Meter and coils calibrated as one measuring system — current channels are calibrated together with your MRC-24 Rogowski coils, not the meter alone. A Rogowski-based analyser calibrated without its coils is only half calibrated.
- TÃœV calibration certificate — documents your instrument’s readings against reference standards traceable to the national metrology institute, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), including the stated measurement uncertainty. This satisfies the measurement traceability requirements of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and energy management under ISO 50001.
- Functional inspection on arrival — leads, Rogowski coils and connectors are checked before calibration, so faults are found before they cost you a measurement campaign.
- Calibration status label — your instrument returns labelled with its calibration status and next due date.
- Reminder service — we contact you before the next calibration falls due, so audit readiness never depends on someone’s spreadsheet.
- Fixed price and confirmed turnaround — agreed before you send anything in, with return shipping included.
- Optional rental meter — keep logging without interruption while your instrument is away.
1. Order
Select your instrument model and place the order, or contact us for other models. You will receive packing and shipping instructions by email.
2. Send in
Ship your instrument to AmpX — together with its Rogowski coils, as the meter and coils are calibrated as a single system. On arrival, we inspect everything and confirm receipt.
3. Calibration
Your instrument is calibrated in the DAkkS-accredited TÜV Thüringen laboratory, and each result is documented in the calibration certificate.
4. Return
Your instrument comes back labelled and fully tested, with the certificate as a PDF and in print — and a reminder before the next calibration is due.

No measurement downtime
A measurement campaign should not stop because an instrument is away for calibration. Add a rental energy logger to your calibration order and we ship the rental unit before you send yours in — so you are never without a working meter. Ask us about a rental bridge when placing your order.
